Not sure what made me think of H&M’s designer collaborations? I guess this year’s collaboration was with Comme des Garçons by Rei Kawakubo. Not really my style but so creatively executed. There’s a real thrill in anticipating a launch (not that I was ever there for the opening of the doors). My favorite H&M collections were that of Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, and Solange. I wish I had known about Karl Lagerfeld’s and Madonna’s H&M launches. I was not present for Roberto Cavalli’s either =(. I wonder who will be the designer for 2009? Target has also jumped on the band wagon with similar collaborations e.g. Luella, Botkier, and Paul & Joe (I love them)…
